Classes are daytime classes on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday (times vary).
ssential Functions Instructs and supervises a diverse population of students in first year composition courses Develops written/digital syllabi/course outlines/materials Evaluates knowledge of subject matter taught and monitors students’ scholastic records Prepares and grades papers/projects Holds support hours as needed to assist and advise students Remains aware and current with services/resources available to students to engage/support their success and when applicable, connects students Remains aware and current with issues/trends in the field through multiple means Promotes the scholarship of teaching and learning by participating in professional development opportunities translates learning from those experiences into the classroom/campus Works collaboratively with other faculty members to improve student learning through a variety of ways; Actively explores ways to be innovative, creative and engaging in the classroom/campusMinimum Qualifications A Master's Degree or higher in one of the following fields.
English, Rhetoric, Composition, Literature, Creative Writing, English Education, Journalism, New Media Studies, Teaching English as a Second Language, Linguistics,OrA Master's Degree in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in these prefixes/subjects.
