Compliance Coordinator - The Compliance Coordinator Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all project activities comply with legal standards, industry regulations, and company policies. This role requires an individual with strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of railway regulations, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and interpret changes in project regulations, safety standards, environmental laws, and other relevant legislation to ensure project adherence. Policy Implementation: Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and best practices in railway infrastructure projects. Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance and develop strategies to mitigate risks. Audit and Reporting: Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and recommendations for improvement. Investigations: Lead investigations into alleged violations of regulations or company policies, ensuring thorough documentation and appropriate corrective actions. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure that all parties understand and adhere to compliance requirements. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the compliance program and promote a culture of compliance within the organization. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including training logs, audit reports, and incident investigations. Report To: General Manager (GM) in Brazil and GM in China. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Law with certified OAB. Experience: Experience in compliance roles, preferably in the railway or transportation sector. Knowledge & Skills: Strong knowledge of project regulations, safety standards, and environmental laws. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a high-pressure environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with various stakeholders in the English language. Experience in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
