Sales Manager, CDD Brazil About the Role.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Manager to join our team in Brazil.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate with strong commercial skills and the ambition to rapidly grow a business that is currently building its foundations.
This role within our Clinical Diagnostics Division (CDD) involves leading both Direct and Indirect sales (through distributors) in a high-priority market with significant growth potential.
Key Responsibilities.
Achieve sales targets and business objectives as set by the Division and the Company.
Manage the performance and development of the sales team.
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth.
Manage direct sales efforts and build strong relationships with key customers.
Provide clear direction and support to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Lead all aspects of indirect sales through distributors, ensuring alignment with commercial strategies and goals.
Work closely with distributors to develop and implement effective commercial strategies.
Consolidate and strengthen the distribution network to effectively cover Brazil's extensive geography.
Conduct regular business reviews with distributors to assess and lead performance.
Ensure channel partners adhere to our policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of channel partner activities and sales performance.
Observe market trends and competitor activities to find opportunities and threats.
Build and strengthen relationships with key partners, both internal and external, to drive the business forward.
Collaborate with other Divisions and Groups to ensure opportunities for leverage and synergies are gained.
Prepare and conduct regular reports and presentations on business/sales performance and market trends.
Business Planning.
Develop accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and financial planning requirements.
Provide valuable insights on market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to shape commercial strategies, product development, and marketing initiatives.
Evaluate and plan for the resources needed to support both short-term and long-term business objectives.
Qualifications.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (equivalent experience will also be considered; an MBA is a plus).
Experience in a senior sales management role, preferably within a similar industry.
Strong commercial competence with a track record of driving business growth.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to develop and implement sales strategies and plans.
Capability to develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key customers.
Good understanding of the industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with global teams and to conduct regular presentations and business reviews with impact.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights, combined with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Understanding of financial metrics and the ability to develop and manage budgets.
Experience in forecasting sales and setting financial targets.
Fluent in Portuguese and English.
Proficiency in CRM systems and the MS Office suite.
