Project And Portfolio Manager - This position is in Cargills food ingredients and bio-industrial business, where we anticipate trends around taste, nutrition and safety to innovate and provide solutions to manufacturers, retailers and foodservice companies. Job Purpose and ImpactThe Project and Portfolio manager will oversee and handle the operational aspects of ongoing projects and will serve as a liaison among project management and planning, project team and line management. In this role, you will provide strategic vision, reviewing the project proposal to resolve time frame, funding limitations and procedures for accomplishing the project. Will lead the strategic portfolio of projects and programs across the functions including projects and data fields standardization, intake and business case, developing prioritization criteria and methods based on the enterprise strategy. In this role, you will provide visibility into the business''s project portfolio, reports and integration with other business processes in collaboration with key stakeholders. You will gather data for portfolio reporting, build data information dashboard, ensure portfolio consistency, and support stakeholders in project management. Key AccountabilitiesIn-depth knowledge of project management methodology,project delivery process and portfolio managementIdentify and resolve obstacles to completing project on time and to budget. Ability to lead cross-functional teams providing leadership, coaching and mentorship to the project organization. Lead project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules and determine resource requirements. Identify and resolve obstacles to completing project on time and to budget. Monitor and report on the status of projects including cost, timing and staffing. Independently handle complex issues with mínimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff. Identify improvements and simplifications to project portfolio management processes, facilitate, train and educate team on portfolio processes. Integrates multiple complex issues to analyze information to be used for Portfolio management. Guide the utilization and execution of project processes, including maintenance of process documentation and training content. Facilitate strategic prioritization reviews with senior leaders, ensuring tradeoffs are understood and appropriate decisions are made. Responsible for the deployment and continuous improvement of portfolio and project management and accelerated continuous improvement practices aligned with company strategy.
