Manager, Software Engineering This management position within the Analytics Center of Excellence (ACOE) department of the Research & Development Solutions org (R&DS) is responsible for managing a team of software engineers This manager is responsible for delivering a high-performance group of developers who design and develop new products, features, feature enhancements, and bug fixes that serve an array of scenarios related to clinical trials and other lines of IQVIA's pharma/tech business.
Success in this role includes creating and sustaining a healthy team working environment, including a focus on work-life balance, while providing opportunities for individual contributors to grow and distinguish themselves.
A successful leader will help define and implement best practices and leverage their prior engineering experience to guide and mentor their team members.
Our ideal candidate is someone who brings with them experience as a senior engineer or principal engineer and insight from engineering roles held at multiple organizations.

Typical Activities • Mentor junior and senior software engineers • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of programming languages, software development techniques and methodologies • Lead improvements in software development best practices, including Agile processes, programming techniques and processes • Keep team members informed of company processes, priorities and general information • Administratively manage employees, conduct performance reviews including development plans, make staffing decisions • Create effective onboarding plans to ensure minimum time to value • Responsible for value proposition of the development team, ensuring team members are aligned with their role and contribution • Identify unmet skill requirements and hire or develop staff to satisfy them • Oversee one or more product teams Basic Qualifications Prospective candidates who meet most of these qualifications are encouraged to apply.
