Come and be a part of this successAbout the RoleReporting into the Legal Manager, the Specialist Legal is responsible forRoviding legal support on a variety of complex judicial proceedings in theContext of remediation projects, including social value and sustainabilityInitiatives. Based in Brazil, the role will provide legal support to judicialRoceedings in a challenging environment, with the ultimate goal to improve BHPsOsition in litigation, to maximize deliveries in the remediation, as well asUbject matter expertise to other teams within Legal and to other stakeholdersAcross BHP. Also, support in the negotiations with public entities in general,Regulators, local communities and others; developing and maintaining strongRelationships with internal and external stakeholders. CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:Support BHP legal team advising on complex litigation, including social value andUstainability initiativesSupport and advise BHP, Samarco and Renova Foundation in legal and administrativeRoceedings of various matters, complexities and jurisdictionsProactively identifying legal risks and opportunities and advising clientsAccordinglyOperating independently with evidence of having used significant judgment toManage legal risk; Provide support on day- To- Day legal matters relating to BHPs presence in BrazilActing as a backup for the other Legal Team membersAbout YouTop- Tier law firm or international in- House team, with a focus on complexLitigation and projects.
