This is a fully remote opportunity for one of our esteemed clients. About the role :We are seeking a hands-on Lead Enterprise Cloud Developer to join our Engineering Team. This role involves designing, building, and integrating next-generation enterprise cloud services, leading and mentoring the Engineering team, and collaborating with various stakeholders. The candidate will drive key projects and initiatives in GBS, focusing on automating IT Operations tasks and transforming IT Operations Services to be scalable and API-capable. Responsibilities :Design and Development :Develop custom and standard software solutions for governance and automation of cloud infrastructure. Implement enterprise-scale cloud operations using serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions). Write code, engineer CI / CD pipelines, and promote Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) adoption. Modernize legacy scripts and code to RESTful APIs. Document implementations, patterns, practices, and processes. Technical Guidance :Serve as a mentor, guiding team members and driving projects to completion. Provide technical insights, clarify requirements, and remove roadblocks. Lead the team in solving complex technical problems and using innovative solutions. Main SkillsAWS (Boto3) Azure Python Terraform Key Areas of Focus :Software Development (40%) :Develop, debug, and document enterprise services using Azure and AWS SDKs. Enhance and debug new / existing IaC capabilities with tools like Terraform and Ansible. Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle. Deploy emergency bug fixes as required. Technical Guidance (30%) :Mentor software developers and grow technical skills and practices. Lead team members in solving complex technical problems. Software Design / Troubleshooting (20%) :Contribute to software design and architecture. Assist in complex troubleshooting and peer reviews. New Technologies (10%) :Explore new trends and identify innovative solutions. Qualifications & Experience :Education :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience. Advanced / Professional Technical Certificate in Azure, AWS, or Kubernetes. Experience :10+ years in enterprise software development management. 5+ years in a Cloud Development or Software Engineering leading role. Proven experience with design patterns, SOLID principles, cloud resiliency patterns, and agile SDLCs. Ability to write scalable production-grade code in Python, Java, NodeJS, or Ruby. Experience with CI / CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins). Understanding of core AWS & Azure Services, CLIs, and cloud SDKs. Enthusiasm for industry trends and product improvements. Soft Skills :Teamwork, logical approach, task prioritization, excellent communication, problem-solving, patience, and attention to detail.
