What you will do: Oversee multiple application programming and analysis projects which include development, installation, and maintenance of application programs. Maximize staff contribution through professional growth and development, to increase teamwork and more effectively meet business needs. Analyze applications to ensure that all systems developed meet business needs and specifications. Monitor and maintain adherence and compliance to quality standards on an ongoing basis. Work closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization. Represent the customer, interfacing and engaging with the customer. Perform other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management. What you will have: Four year Bachelors degree preferably in computer science, information systems, engineering or related field. Experience working with onshore/offshore team model. 10+ years of relevant job-related IT experience. Skill Descriptors: Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes for making sound decisions in the context of the company''s business. Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems. Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to enlist others in achieving objectives. Vendor/Supplier Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to manage business relationships with external providers. IT Service Management (ITSM): Knowledge of IT service management and ability to oversee service operations.
