HEAD OF MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS - MA BIO OPS

Job Description About the role.
The Head of Manufacturing Operations manages manufacturing drug substance operations at the Alewife and Lexington facilities within the MA Bio Ops site.
You will ensure the right capacity, capability and leadership teams are in place to deliver the site manufacturing plan and improve performance.
You will coordinate with partner functions including Quality, Facilities, Engineering, Supply Chain and corporate functions to lead manufacturing success at the Site.
This includes establishing and communicating our goals, objectives, and priorities, ensuring agreement and prioritization between manufacturing sites and functional organizations and chartering site-based projects and governance forums.
As a member of the site leadership team, the Head of Manufacturing Operations motivates the Site to achieve its goals by promoting a safety and quality culture and positive engagement with all team members.
How you will contribute.
Overall site manufacturing operations and supply of bulk drug substance/ intermediate following supply/ demand plans and S&OP process.
Participate on the Site Leadership Team Manage budget for Manufacturing Operations at the site.
Approving site-based OPEX/CAPEX.
Review direct and allocated costs with site leaders, functional heads, Finance and senior management.
Monitor performance against goals and reporting against KPIs.
Identify areas of continuous improvement to ensure achievement of the same.
Ensure continuous state of compliance with all safety, quality, personnel, and security policies, procedures, practices.
Ensure alignment of resource demands with priority activities at the site.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications.

degree in relevant field (M.
.
preferred) with at least 15 years relevant biopharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
In depth technical knowledge of biotechnology plant operations.
Previous leading-leaders leadership experience and with varying departments.
Experience operating within a multi-product manufacturing facility.
Previous experience with new product introductions and tech transfer.

In this role, you may.
Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body.
This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
Work in a cold, wet environment.
Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
