The Role   The role of an IT Regional Manager is crucial in executing Eastman’s IT Strategy and Vision.
Responsibilities   Develop and execute the IT strategy for a specific region or geography, aligning it with the organization's overall business objectives and IT roadmap.
Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities within the region, and translate them into IT strategies and initiatives.
Define and communicate the regional IT vision, goals, and objectives to ensure alignment and buy-in from stakeholders across the organization.
Develop and implement the region’s IT infrastructure strategy, aligning it with business objectives and ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Lead and manage a team responsible for implementing and delivering IT projects and initiatives within the region, ensuring successful execution and achievement of desired outcomes.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand infrastructure requirements and provide technical guidance and support for infrastructure-related projects.
Develop and manage the regional IT budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
Develop and maintain infrastructure-related policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with global IT teams and other regional IT leaders to drive standardization, consistency, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Monitor and assess the performance and effectiveness of IT systems, processes, and services within the region, and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, partners, and industry associations to stay informed about market developments and leverage external expertise and resources when needed.
Qualifications and Skills   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.
., ITIL, PMP) are a plus.
Proven experience in IT strategy development and execution, preferably in a regional or multi-national context.
Strong understanding of business strategy and the ability to translate it into IT strategies and initiatives.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and deliver results.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify patterns, and develop strategic solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Project management experience, with the ability to lead and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong business acumen and the ability to understand the industry landscape and market dynamics within the region.
Knowledge of emerging technologies, digital transformation, and IT governance frameworks.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing ambiguity and driving change.
