The Position As Solution Architect, you will ensure that solutions meet business needs and are compatible with existing architectures. You will support and drive the technical and architectural decisions for your product team. You value simplicity and are willing to challenge technical constraints and procedures to achieve robust, maintainable, and scalable solutions. You will be the visionary force behind the technical solutions and are responsible for planning and developing the architectural runway in collaboration with the VGCS global architecture forum. You still have a strong interest in coding and have a willingness to put in practice your findings and support the rest of the team. If you want to be part of our exciting journey and awesome team, we have an opportunity right here! We are now looking for a Solution Architect within VGCS Latin America, Transport Solutions. You will work in close collaboration with the development team, Product Owners, User Experience designers, Front and Back-End Developers, and Business Analysts. You will be responsible for driving the technical and architectural activities within different initiatives and coordinating the overall solution regarding the architectural deliverables. Design the overall technological architecture of the Transport Solutions products Be part and/or lead pre-studies on features for future business opportunities to determine and shape integrations that will be used in the years to come Ensure that business and user needs are combined with solid technical solutions Take the role as a leader within your competence area and act as a mentor Identify and remove technical impediments, in collaboration with the Digital Channels Architects forum and VGCS Enterprise Architects Provide the teams with policies and guidelines regarding software engineering practices to ensure stability, scalability, and performance Act as an enabler of Agile and DevSecOps practices in collaboration with product and support teams Code, bring your passion and skills to the rest of the team. Your Profile Your personality is your major reason for success, but we think you also have: A University degree in software engineering, computer science, or similar education Minimum 5 years experience as a Solution Architect Practical experience of integration architecture including API gateways and APIs (REST, GraphQL) Knowledge in asynchronous programming, microservice architecture, AWS managed services like Amazon SNS, Amazon SQS, AWS Lambda Strong interest in process improvements and ability to create structure A team player with a great sense of ownership mentality A curious and innovative mindset Experience of digital channels or fleet management systems is a plus Experience from mobile (connected) applications is also a great advantage Good communication skills for management and team communication Fluent in English, both written and spoken What we can offer you You will be part of a team that creates great results through awesome people, strong relationships, and a high-performance culture.
