SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER (REMOTE)

Senior Systems Engineer (Remote) - At a more strategic level, the Sr SE will be strategically positioning Ruckus to all levels of decision-makers; delivering presentations for partners, end-client prospects; but also supporting Sales organization events from an SE Solutions and Pre-Sales point of view. Remote-based role where the selected person will work mostly from a home office; with occasional administrative interactions/visits (HR/IT/Corp) to the local company offices. Location preferably in the Sao Paulo or nearby cities area and/or within a reasonable commute distance to the CommScope offices but we also could consider other locations in Brazil where growth is projected for RUCKUS. Responsibilities:In conjunction and teamwork with the Territory Account Manager -the Sr. SE role carries a quota for the territory. The Sr. SE is driving pre-sales engineering and solution sales assistance with design and Bill of Material creation, sales opportunity engagement, and technical training individually orin larger group settings, using multi-media collaboration tools or other related web technology as a delivery platform. The Sr. SE develops and delivers enablement based on working knowledge of Ruckus Networks wireless/wired - and software products The Sr. SE act as a Technical Trusted Advisor to Customers and Channel Partners with the ability to differentiate and position Ruckus products competitively The Sr. SE assists the Sales Team andPAMin driving revenue and selling solutions to obtain quota goals The role requires Travel to end customer and partner sites. BUSINESS TRAVEL 35-65% travel within national territory could be required to attend events, enablement of partners or assist end-users. Travel outside Brazil to the US or other CALAregion countries for regional meetings or SE training might be also needed in much less frequency (occasionally). Minimum Qualifications Undergraduate or graduate degree - BS/BA minimum - in Electrical, Computer, or Networking Engineering; ComputerProgramming; Information Technology; Management Information Systems; Computer Science; Mathematics required. Market experience of at least 10 yrs. with a minimum 7 years of relevant IT experience working with Converged wireless (WLAN/IoT), Switching and Cloud-based technologies within the enterprise segment is required You Will Excite Us If You Have SOLUTIONS SELLING FOCUS:Able to present technology solutions that can address and resolve customer requirements across multiple verticals, positioning the solutions and not just the products. PRESALES:A good understanding of the concepts around pre-sales engineering, solutions selling narratives and sales processes. TUNING INTO THE AUDIENCE:Ability to communicate on technical solutions to a variety of audiences that may include engineers, manager/director level decision makers, or executives both written and orally. STRATEGIC THINKER:Beginningunderstanding customer requirements and business drivers and how to map these to a customer solution around wireless/wired connectivity and network management. MANAGE REQUIREMENTS:Able articulate, present and defend field requirements from key accounts to the integrator partners -butCloud based Network management and/or KPI Network Analytics also desirable Virtualization environments/deployments, VM installations, (any of VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, GCE, Azure, AWS), etc. Security authentication methods and products RADIUS, AD, etc. Basic working knowledge of the following areas of specialization:RF engineering, Indoor and Outdoor wireless design, dimensioning and deployments Knowledge on Mesh; Wireless Controller Architectures; Wi-Fi protocols and transmission WLAN Security in the areas of Authentication, Encryption, RADIUS/AAA, 802. 1X, EAP/PSK, and Active Directory, BYOD/MDM/NAC VLAN network traffic segmentation and Security principles VoIP; QoS wired/wireless IP Troubleshooting - Packet Capture/Analysis Tools Understanding of the use of APIs and scripting is desirable IaaS/SaaS/PaaS and SDWAN/SASE knowledge a plus.
