Could you imagine yourselfin a place like thisDow has a great opportunity as Senior Supply Chain Planner to support AdhesivesBusiness Unit in Latin America. You will be responsible to balance supply anddemand over the tactical horizon to achieve optimum product availability, assetutilization and supply chain efficiencies. Responsibilities / DutiesDevelops, communicates and implements operational and tactical plans for localassets, maintaining strong linkage with Plants to ensure conformance to scheduleand capacity plans. Leads plans to support new item introductions, ensuring product availability forall customers, as well as item discontinuations, mitigating product obsolescence. Determines and/or executes the most effective regional or global sourcing rules. Ensures that strategic and tactical business decisions are made with a full andintegrated understanding of current and future supply chain capabilities,potential impacts to service, cost, working capital and sustainability, andeffective risk management/mitigation. Develops external manufacturing agreements, or executes agreements already inplace. Manages inventory levels to target expectations and customer service availabilityagreements. Establishes safety stock targets and manages supply plans against those targets. Supports preparation for the Supply Review by running and reviewing appropriatereports/KPIs and dashboards, to ensure a productive discussion and IBPprocess. Maintains strong linkages with Commercial Team for demand management processes and ensuresfull integration with Finance and Accounting. Owns supply-demand balancesfor assigned desk, drives resolution of strategic gapsand significant capacity challenges and develops sourcing strategies. Resolves issues or exceptions outside the business rules/boundaries and interveneswhen needed to address performance gaps. Assesses short-term feasibility requests from customers where necessary. Maintains and/or coordinates maintenance of planning parameters in accordance withmaster data governance. Drives continuous improvement by periodically reviewing and providingrecommendations to enhance the distribution network, and by ensuring currentmanufacturing strategies are appropriate.
