About your Team As part of Teachables Platform Engineering team, your peers (engineers at Teachable) are your customers. While our product engineering pods have end-to-end ownership of the products they create and are focused on delivering features that directly impact and deliver value to Teachable end-users, Platform Engineering focuses on empowering and enabling engineers in product teams to work more efficiently and effectively by implementing processes, tools and providing technical support. Both roles are essential for the success of our organization but they have distinct areas of focus and responsibilities. Platform enablement is intended to be composed of specialists in a given technical domain and to help bridge capability gaps. This team is responsible for building and maintaining shared capabilities, standardizing development workflows and processes, ensuring engineers have a good experience shipping code and remaining productive, anticipating and addressing problems with stability and performance issues, facilitating knowledge sharing across teams and supporting guilds and working groups. What is the role? As a Senior Software Engineer I (Sr. Analyst), you will be responsible for automating repetitive tasks, streamlining the software development lifecycle, and optimizing deployment processes to enable faster and more reliable software releases. You will analyze existing engineering processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. With guild insights you will collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement process improvements, such as adopting Agile methodologies, optimizing code review processes, or implementing continuous integration and delivery practices. In this position, you will work remotely with Teachables US based teams as well as Hotmart employees based in Belo Horizonte and São Paulo. We are hiring talented engineers in Brazil. In this role, you''ll: Partner with engineers on the pod and throughout the organization to build high-quality, scalable products Create and maintain technical documentation, guidelines, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and promote consistent development standards across the organization Develop and deliver training programs to onboard new engineers and help them become productive quickly. Provide ongoing training and support to engineers on new technologies, tools, and best practices Act as a mentor and provide technical guidance and support to other engineers. Help troubleshoot technical issues, review code, and provide feedback to improve the overall quality of software development Constantly leave it better than how you found it mentality and are willing to work in and improve legacy code that you did not originally write. Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in software engineering. Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and methodologies that can enhance our engineering processes and capabilities What You''ll Bring: 4+ years of hands-on experience building production web applications in an agile, startup environment Proficiency in using modern programming languages (Golang, Ruby, etc. ) in a production environment in a backend or fullstack capacity Experience on an engineering enablement or platform team or experience contributing engineering-wide initiatives Experience working on a platform with multiple services Team player mentality: highly collaborative, documentation-focused and recognizing how to balance asynchronous communications and virtual meetings A passion for solving complex technical problems in both new and legacy codebases A mindset of leaving the codebase better than how you found it Experience collaborating with multiple team members with varying experience levels to design and implement technical projects Ability to work and problem-solve independently A humble, collaborative, customer-focused, and highly curious approach to problem-solving At Teachable, we are committed to providing fair and competitive pay (using market data to inform our pay bands), rewarding high performance, and ensuring all employees have the opportunity and ability to impact Teachables overall company value.
