SENIOR DATA ENGINEER

Senior Data Engineer - This role is critical to ensuring we deliver high-quality data that drives decision-making and enhances customer usability. You'll work within an agile team using modern data engineering tools and frameworks to create robust data architectures and integrate various data sources. Your role requires you to advocate for necessary changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our data solutions. To thrive in this role, you'll need to be curious, persistent, and at times persuasive. You'll support Data Science professionals to improve data acquisition and handling for optimizing performance and costs for models training, among others. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll also leverage your leadership and teaching skills to train and mentor junior-level data professionals. You will own the data structuring and have significant involvement in the success of releases with your product. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Here's what you can expect on a typical day: Understand that an agile data engineering environment requires flexibility. Working in two-week sprints, keep up with timelines and coding standards. Design & Build: Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data pipelines for large-scale, complex data systems, focusing on the operationalization of datasets for performance and accessibility. Collaborate: Communicate and collaborate with technical developers and multiple stakeholders for your data products, articulating clear and compelling reasons to persuade developers to enhance data usability and performance. Innovate: Look for innovative solutions to challenges that arise while learning new technologies. TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
