SENIOR AWS DATA ENGINEER (LISBON, PORTUGAL)

Senior AWS Data Engineer (Lisbon, Portugal) - WORKPLACE Lisbon or Porto, Portugal (Hybrid) RESPONSIBILITIES: Creating and maintaining data pipeline architecture; Assembling large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements; Building the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies; Building analytics tools that use the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics; Managing the data architecture for data ingestion, pipeline setup and data curation; Create analytical solutions that leverage the data pipeline to provide actionable insights on key company performance metrics like customer acquisition and operational efficiency; Manipulating data at scale, getting data in a ready-to-use state in close alignment with various business and Spoke stakeholders. WE REQUIRE A PROFESSIONAL IN: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent job expertise; Experience in building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and datasets; Proficiency in developing processes that support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management; Programming skills in functional programming and object-oriented script languages such as Scala, Python, and Java; Familiarity with big data tools and distributed clusters like Hadoop, Spark, PySpark, Kafka, and Kinesis; Knowledge of data pipeline and workflow management tools like Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, Athena, and Glue Workflow; Excellent communication skills in English for effective stakeholder interaction.
