Job Title.
ROV Engineering Specialist Job Location.
Lockwood Road, Houston, TX, Duties.
Responsibilities include.
Evaluate and ensure that the appropriate remote intervention personnel numbers are satisfactory for the detailed design, installation engineering, and site execution works.
Ensure that project factory acceptance tests and system integrations tests for remote interventions interfaces are complete and executed according to plan.
Assists in HAZID and constructability reviews.
Attends project meetings and interacts with clients as required on a technical level.
Ensure that project detailed design engineering incorporates remote intervention evaluation/consideration.
Support the projects with development of remote intervention installation and testing procedures as required.
Support projects by ensuring the correct ROV tooling from 3rd party rental companies is delivered and returned to minimize costs to projects.
Review and comment on general installation and testing procedures to confirm remote intervention suitability.
Ensure that all remotely operated vehicles, tools and equipment proposed and utilized for the project are engineered and fit for purpose.
Evaluate in conjunction with the risk assessment manager all risks related to remote intervention activities on the project.
Ensure VMax scenarios are true to project requirements, test and evaluate as required.
Operation and maintenance of mock ROV for project system integration tests.
May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the U.
.
Domestic and international travel required 5% of the time.

Employer will accept 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a ROV Engineering Specialist related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following.
Experience with ROV's and subsea intervention tooling.
Experience with specification, detailed design (both hardware and software), qualification, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Remotely Operated Vehicle systems and products for the oil and gas industry (subsea and surface).
Experience in documenting and reviewing client requirements, ROV controls philosophies and creating/designing schematics, single-line diagrams, and electrical wiring schematics.
Experience working with relevant codes, design, testing and regulatory standards for products used in a ROV control system, such as API 17H, API 17D, ISO , NORSOK U102r-1, IMCA R004 Experience leading and supporting investigations (TOPSET’s) to determine probable cause of failure/nonconformance with Remotely Operated Vehicle subsea controls products and their associated third-party interfaces.
Experience in providing field support services for Remotely Operated Vehicle and Surface controls equipment installation and troubleshooting services for equipment such as ROV’s, TMS and ROV Garage systems, Launch & Recovery systems, Manipulator Slave and Master arm systems, Fiber Optic Sliprings and Umbilical Winch systems.
