About the Role As a Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Risk Engineer, you will closely work with clients and brokers, as the technical owner of property risk engineering matters for your designated set of accounts.
Internally, you will support Underwriters and Customer and Distribution Managers with risk selection, technical servicing of existing customers, and also with the development of new business.
While the principal focus is on our Brazilian book-of-business, you will also have the opportunity to service local operations of customers from other regions.
As part of your day-to-day work, you will act as the primary Account Engineer for a number of customers.
In doing so, you will assess, interpret, and build your specialist opinion based on information obtained while conducting client and prospect visits, as well as through reviewing third party information generated by our service partners.
In partnership with customers and brokers, you will define the risk engineering servicing plan that best suits each customer's needs in their journey to maintain or achieve a better risk quality rating.
As one of our risk engineers, you will be using our s tate-of-the-art risk assessment and risk quality and benchmarking tools.
You will also have access to our unique set of risk engineering technical guidelines.
About the Team As a member of our Latin American Risk Engineering Services (RES) Team, and while playing a meaningful role in the company's Brazilian operation, you will be fully embedded in our global Risk Engineering Services (RES) community.
As a member of RES, you will have the opportunity to develop and become a specialist in dedicated core industries or subject matters.
You will also be able to attend various training programs/modules, and participate in projects and initiatives to develop standard methodologies, guidelines, technical papers, in addition to new innovative service offerings.

About You We are looking for a detailed-oriented engineer, with excellent communications skills, who is collaborative and able to work in a team.
Fluency in English is an absolute must.
The applicant should.
Have an engineering degree; Be proficient in the English language (spoken and written); Have a property loss prevention background (> 5 years of experience); Have strong negotiation and presenting skills; Have strong oral and written communication skills; Be digitally literate/tech savvy (familiarity with all Microsoft Office products, ability to work with databases and data & analytics dashboards, and affinity with digital solutions); Possess business sense and flexibility, be self-managed, have entrepreneurial attitude; Be willing to travel - mainly within Brazil; Carry a valid Brazilian driver's license.
