As a Public Cloud Architect, you’ll help design the foundation for how our global fintech platforms perform and scale in Public Cloud.
Your expertise will influence selecting, operating and administering systems and software for our environment that supports vital business processes.
About the team.

FIS's strategy has recently shifted to "Cloud First".
In support of this strategy, you will be part of a focused effort to migrate applications currently hosted in on-prem data centers to AWS and Azure.
What you will be doing.
Work with cloud developers and architects to define and evaluate cloud-based solutions according to best practices and within the pillars of a well-architected framework.
Focus is on lift-and-shift technologies and other services or sub-systems which support a variety of applications currently hosted on-prem.
Provide infrastructure expertise to define solutions and standards which will improve client experience, end to end delivery times and platform stability/scalability.
Work with key stakeholders to design, develop, maintain large financial systems migrated from on-prem environments to Public Cloud environments What you will need.
5+ years’ experience in architecting, designing, developing and implementing cloud infrastructure in a large IT infrastructure organization.
2+ years’ hands-on experience building infrastructure using Terraform Enterprise (TFE).
At least 1 year's experience as architect and engineer for public cloud "lift and shift" projects.
Strong understanding and experience in several of the following areas.
Database architecture, containers, cloud storage, scripting and automation, capacity management, disaster recovery plans, cost optimization.
Excellent documentation skills.
Must have proven experience creating architecture-level documents for a technical audience, as well as architecture overviews for technical executives.
5+ years’ experience working in a large IT infrastructure organization.
