WHO YOULL WORK WITHThis is an opportunity to support Bains expanding new ventures business, helpingto build a new start-up at Bain to deliver the NPS Prism product, a market-leadingcustomer experience benchmarking service. NPS Prism creates NPS and episodebenchmarks by surveying very large numbers of customers in a given sector. Customers are asked to identify the companies with which they do business, declaretheir likelihood to recommend each provider, describe why, and answer a battery ofadditional questions designed to reveal experiences with specific episodes, aswell as share of wallet, channel preference, and other important data. NPS Prismoffers rock-solid NPS benchmarks all the way to the episode level, the ability todetermine the extent to which any given episode contributes to a Confidentialscompetitive differentiation, the value of improvement, and the ability to linkperformance to operational episode metrics. It is delivered through an interactiveplatform that allows subscribers to do their own analysis. WHERE YOULL FIT WITHIN THE TEAMIn this role you will work closely with the Associate Product Managers, ProductManagers to build and deliver a commercially successful product that spans coresectors across all regions. The primary tasks of this role revolve around core product development working aspart of a cross-functional Agile development team to design and develop NPSPrisms interactive platform from end-to-end. This includes building and maintainvisualization dashboards. Another part of the role will revolve around the continuous improvement of the NPSPrism data processes, partnering with NPS Prisms Technical Product Managers andTech Leads in the development of new functionalities and systems that make theproduct more robust and efficient. WHAT YOULL DOSupport Product team in the development and delivery of new and existing NPS Prisminstruments to subscription customersAnalyze the data and create client-ready visualization dashboards with coachingfrom the NPS Prism Data Visualization and Data Engineering leadsDesign and develop new data workflows and analytical apps to support the launch ofnew product instances and featuresPerform a variety of advanced statistical and data mining techniques such as, butnot limited to sentiment analysis, multivariate and logistic regressions, timeseries analysis, etc. Supports team leads in problem solving, hypothesis generation, research andinsight generation and quality controlCommunicates data, knowledge & clearly explain insights & implications for otherteam members and product leadsEnsures zero-defect across own work streams as well as those being co-managedUnderstands client needs/context and demonstrates ability to resolve complexissues on critical work streams, working closely with the Product Manager andAssociate Product ManagerEnsures timely, high quality delivery of output to clients through effectiveexecution, quality control and work planningProvide ongoing customer support for subscription customers, such as additionaldata cuts and responding to questions about the data/methodology. ABOUT YOURequiredBachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering,or any other technology-related field preferred, or strong relevant workexperienceMinimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience with data visualization,data-engineering, database management or data science focus in a fast-paced,complexbusiness settingExperience in building data visualization dashboards using Tableau or other datavisualization engines, including the definition and implementation of calculationmethodologies in attention to basic statistics and business conceptsExperience creating custom user defined functions, procedures, views, materializedviews, and optimized SQLAbility to troubleshoot slow performing queries, examining indexes, and runningexplain plansExperience designing, implementing, and supporting end-to-end automated datapipelines using enterprise tooling, cloud-native services, or customcoding/developmentExperience with traditional relational database management systems e.
