PRODUCT ENGINEER

Product Engineer - She/He will be responsible for:Responsible for project management that result in new products and parts, as well as labor and product cost reductions, which focus on improving existing product lines and new designs. In addition to this position will be required to sustaining the project to ensure the correct implementation and achievement of goals. Providing smooth and effective implementation and plans for local operations, monitoring and reporting the savings post on VAVE execution. Responsible to support plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals by developing and maintaining robust cost out initiatives across the organization, including, but not limited to supplier base development and validation in conjunction with SCM leadership. Job Responsibilities:Demonstrate project management and leadership capability, experience in coordinating / completing complex projects on-time. Provide smooth and effective implementation and plans for local operations, monitoring and reporting the savings post on VAVE execution. This work includes support the supply chain analysis, product parts localization and economic viability. Provide engineering design support for productivity improvement projects and parts localization. Utilize PROLaunch (Six Sigma design) tollgate methodology to lead VAVE projects with cross functional teams at multiple sites with overall project timeline execution responsibilities. Develop dFMEA and test plan documentation required for thorough product improvements / development. Dimension capital investment and control capital plan (CAPEX) to meet defined targets. Implement new projects executing activities under Mfg Engineering responsibility looking for minimize time introduction and avoid quality problems during the project phase in/out. Review and evaluate new and changed parts and products for labor manufacturability. Develop cost and labor estimates and, if required, participate in design review and evaluation. Propose product changes that make manufacturing process easier and more reliable with lower cost and better quality level and contribute for the improvement of products looking for achieve better and more robust design solution. Assist the Shop floor to achieve production goals, providing all support needed for assembly Lines. Determine efficient and understandable work methods and incorporate improvements for manufacturing. Review work practices for ergonomic, safety hazards and devise appropriate corrective actions. Contact (in English) the engineering centers in the USA, China and India responsible for product design and development to discuss about the engineering projects, designs, changes, products improvements, troubleshooters and etc. Experience in C / C++ RTOS (linux OS basis) and bare-metal micro controller embedded software development, software / hardware debug and test skills, knowledge in applied software development in Ethernet network and utility field communication network (MODBus, DNP3, MMS and GOOSE). Will also be necessary knowledge on C / C++ / HTML computer bases software development (Windows OS) to fix and develop new features on the cross-platform configuration software.
