Platform Engineer - Koerber Data Platform  Location.

As a Platform Engineer on our team, you'll play a crucial role in implementing and operating the cloud infrastructure and data analytics environment that powers our initiatives.
Key Responsibilities.
Design and Maintain Cloud Infrastructure.
Develop and manage our Azure-based cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Optimize CI/CD Pipelines.
Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines for our data platform components to ensure efficient and reliable deployments.
Implement Security Best Practices.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security requirements and implement best practices.
Collaborate with Users.
Work with platform users to create scalable, production-grade data processing environments.
Monitor Platform Health.
Oversee platform health, costs, and performance to ensure optimal operation.
Support Automation.
Develop and maintain automation tools for various platform components.
Data Lake Architecture.
Build and manage data lake architecture using Delta Lake and Databricks.
Data Governance.
Implement data governance and security controls to protect data integrity and privacy.
Reusable Components.
Create reusable components and templates for data ingestion and processing.
Onboard New Data Sources.
Collaborate with business areas to integrate new data sources and use cases.
Technical Support.
Provide second-level technical support to users.
Required Skills.
Cloud Infrastructure Expertise.
Strong experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
IaC Proficiency.
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.
Programming Skills.
Proficiency in SQL and Python.
Security Knowledge.
Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
Monitoring and Observability.
Experience with monitoring and observability of cloud infrastructure.
Automation Mindset.
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
CI/CD Tools.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
Data Platform Experience.
Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, especially Databricks.
Azure Data Services.
Expertise in Azure data services like Data Factory and Event Hubs.
Data Modeling.
Experience with data modeling and Delta Lake architecture.
Machine Learning.
Knowledge of ML and MLFlow.
Event Data Processing.
Experience with event data processing.
