Operational Excellence and Quality Engineer Within the Ghent South Site, the largest Polyvinyl Butyral polymer processing site in the world, we have a vacancy for an  Operational Excellence and Quality Engineer Job Responsibilities Operational Excellence Initiatives.
You are responsible for initiating, setting up and supporting operational excellence initiatives and projects throughout the organization, that can deliver both hard and soft value.
Process & Quality Improvements.
You are jointly responsible for the preparation, execution and analysis of quality and product improvement projects / tests to (re) qualify both existing and new products.
Customer-Centric Problem Solving.
You are very closely involved with the requirements and problems of the customers and you work together with other services and departments to use operational excellence tools to identify the root cause and to take corrective actions.
Quality Systems Management.
You are responsible for managing and optimizing the quality systems ISO & IATF .
In this capacity, you lead audits both with internal and external parties.
Integrated Management System.
In close collaboration with HSES services, you work towards an integrated management system.
Candidate profile Educational Background.
Master’s degree in engineering sciences.
Operational Excellence Enthusiast.
Interest in operational excellence methods and driving continuous improvements (knowledge of lean, 6 Sigma, PSDM,… is an advantage).
Quality Systems Knowledge.
Interest in quality systems (FMEA, MSA, SPC,...) and/or other management systems.
Data Analysis Skills.
Strong data analysis capabilities.
Proactive & Independent.
Motivated, independent, organized, proactive, hands-on mentality and the ability to think outside the box.
Team Player.
Able to work throughout the whole organization and not afraid to challenge stakeholders.
Excellent Communicator.
Full working proficiency in Dutch and English with excellent communication skills.
