Job Description As the Lead, Incubation Lab, you will report to the Lead, Data Science & Innovation, focusing on delivering the strategy and operating plan for NielsenIQ’s best-in-class Marketing Effectiveness (MEFF) innovation lab.
You will be joining an innovation & client first culture, where creative thinking and entrepreneurial spirit are championed, fostered, and harnessed into the next-gen features of our evolving marketing analytics platform.
You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Incubation Lab, including strategic focus, internal stakeholder management, and external client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities.
Work with Data Science Lead to align & set Incubation Lab operating plan; for which the Lab Lead shares joint accountability Define and establish internal Board of Governing Stakeholders for the Lab, comprised of senior leaders and stakeholders across the MEFF practice Work in close partnership with the Board of Stakeholders to align the Lab’s strategic focus & vision, as well as report out innovation roadmap progress Closely collaborate with Incubator Sr.
Product Specialist to seed the Lab’s innovation backlog Define go-to-market strategy & selling material for the Lab, working in collaboration with the MEFF Solution Consulting/GTM Lead Partner with MEFF Solution Consulting & Commercial leadership on roadshows, innovation pilot pitches, and client proposals Provide best-in-class consultative delivery to Lab clients, focused on uncovering actionable insights to client business problems leveraging the portfolio of developed Incubator solutions, models, & algorithms Work in collaboration with the Lab Sr.
Product Specialist on the innovation graduation strategy, ensuring healthy Lab backlog and continual innovation-to-product pipeline Establish and grow partnerships in the NielsenIQ Customer Success and Modeling COE organizations, to collaborate on training programs and process hand-over for fully-matured Lab solutions Stay up to date with the latest advancements in marketing science, machine learning, and AI, and work with the Data Science Lead to identify opportunities to apply them to our platform Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within the team by serving as a mentor & talent multiplier to juniors on the team Qualifications 10+ years of relevant experience in a data or marketing science field Bachelor’s degree or above in marketing, business, analytics, management, or a related field Strong practical knowledge of statistical modeling, in both Frequentist and Bayesian frameworks Strong practical knowledge of basic ML/AI algorithms Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and Spotfire Expertise in Microsoft business tools such as PowerPoint and Excel Demonstrated excellence in managing large client accounts and/or a product area of a P&L Desired Skillsets.
Previous experience in the marketing or advertising industry is a plus Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Demonstrated leadership and communication skills Strong sense of urgency and accountability to drive client outcomes Able to work collaboratively with internal & external teams Capable of maintaining positive client relationships in complex situations & resolving client issues Strong logic, deductive reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities If you're passionate about the next gen of marketing science and want to make a significant impact on the future of the marketing analytics industry, we encourage you to apply!
