Mining & Metals Engineer - The Customer Reliability Engineer focused on Mining & Metals will actively participate in driving a culture of trust, transparency, and accountability. In addition to helping to driving the knowledge level of their business, this individual will have the ability to drive thought leadership across GE and the entire customer and will be a recognized Mining and Metals industry expert by the customer. Do to the nascent nature of this business, this role will be a hybrid role, blending the IMS Customer Reliability Role, with the implementation team Functional Consulting role and the commercial teams pre-sales solution architect. As the business grows, this person will be able to help define the role they want to pursue going forward. Job Description In this role, you will:Help our clients implement and adopt GE Digital software solutions including APM and SmartSignal to support effective management of their assetsUse your expertise and experience in the mining and metals industry to support other teams that provide monitoring and diagnostic servicesProvide expertise in support of sales teams who are offering GED Solutions to mining and metals customersPlace customer satisfaction at the center of everything you do, ensuring customers are super-pleased with our continuous consulting services which are delivered daily, weekly, monthly, and yearlyWork directly with customers to help them leverage the latest software technology, data science, machine learning, and industry best practices to transform their industrial processesOrchestrate overall relationship with assigned clients, which will include, but is not limited to, driving adoption, ensuring retention, and enabling product subscription renewalsMeasure and monitor customers achievement of critical and key performance indicators, reporting bothCement yourself as a trusted/strategic advisor with customers and drive continued value of our products and servicesLeverage your deep Mining and Metals industrial expertise to provide design and operational support to customers, helping them make data driven decisionsDrive and participate in a global team culture of continuous improvement, best practice sharing, and open collaborationQuickly learn and master industrial processes, industrial methodologies, and assets related to Mining and Metals industryQuickly master cutting edge predictive analytics, asset management, and data science software and toolsUnderstand the areas of IT & OT infrastructure, including system, network, and cyber security. Align technology solutions with the technical architecture, operational processes, and lifecycle processes. Engage and guide other teams on developing baseline of customer OT architecture including linkages between various systems like SCADA, Historians, DCS, etc. Author and deliver network designs, statements of work (SOWs) and technical project plans incorporating service and program management activities to support the sales cycleCreate partnerships with engineering, product management, and customers to deliver commercial products and servicesAssist in workshops to help demonstrate to customers the full value of GE Digital solutions and lead periodic partner meetingsEligibility Requirements:Bachelors Degree (Master''s preferred) in engineering or similar degree in science or technologyRelevant work experience in the mining/metals industry. Legal authorization to work in the location where position is hired. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion ofa background investigation and drug screeningMust be willing to travel up to 30%Experience in Maintenance, Reliability, Inspection or other asset-management related rolesSpecific Experience in the Following Areas Desired:Mining, Metals, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Chemical etc. Specific Reliability Certifications/Memberships Desired:SMRP, ASME, SAE, CMRP, CPMM, CRE, RCM or FMEA Facilitator, Lean / Six Sigma Certification etc. Specific Software Experience in the Following Areas Desired:Meridium, SAP, Maximo, SmartSignal, Vibration Analysis, System 1 / Emerson, SAS, Business Intelligence tools, Excel etc. Ability to communicate effectively in EnglishTechnical Expertise:Instructs others on how to thoroughly analyze data and present findings and recommendations in a way that is easy and simple for key stakeholders to make decisions; links analysis to overall business objectives and strategies.
