MECHANICAL ENGINEER - BULK MATERIAL HANDLING

We are actively looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Brazil team.
This position will prepare engineering work involving design, construction, and execution of mechanical projects.
They will also assist during the inspection and research to insure adherence to law and the standards of good engineering practices.

ummaryPrepares engineering work involving mechanical design, with proficiency in CAD, construction, and execution of mechanical projects.

Duties and responsibilities.

Prepares a variety of designs from bulk material, hydraulic modeling and analysis of oil & gas transmission systems, waterfront facilities such as marinas, container terminals, marine oil terminals and pump stations and utility (water / sewer / stormwater) systems projectsPrepares equipment/materials specification, calculation, data sheets, drawings reviews, and material handling equipment construction/configurationDesign other projects such as piping to support in other projects such as liquid bulk terminal and utilities which will include piping design using either Plant 3D or PDS preferredAssist with condition assessment inspections for oil & gas and utility infrastructureComplete piping and pipelines stress analysis using CAESARPrepare design documents (plans and specifications) with an emphasis in utility service designGenerate proposals and develop fee estimates for PS&E packages Conduct condition assessment inspections for Energy, Maritime, and utility infrastructureOther duties.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; required4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design related to bulk material handlingOr a minimum of 20 years of experience as a mechanical designer in first-class engineering companiesExperience in the design of bulk material handling projectsAcknowledgement in developing equipment specifications, calculations, data sheets, drawings reviews, and other documents related to the mechanical designDesign experience in industrial complexes and / or marine terminals is a plusGeneral understanding of process design, process flow diagram development, and piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) developmentExperience in piping design and other mechanical equipmentSome planning and task management skillsAutoCAD, 3D proficiencyBIM experience is a plusMicroStation is a plusEnglish – Intermediate levelSpanish is a plusAll new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST Physical requirements.
Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting.
Ability to use standard office equipment is required.
Travel will be required.
