What does the job involve? Responsible for monitoring, controlling and optimizing the production process of energy with a focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Work involves overseeing the operation of equipment, monitoring production levels, and minimizing waste.
Conduct regular safety checks, maintain accurate records of production data, and diagnose production problems.
You are utilizing your knowledge in a specific area to carry out tasks that have a short-term operational impact/risk.
You independently complete assigned work, either with guidance or by following well-defined guidelines and procedures, in order to achieve targets set by others that have an impact on your immediate team.
You effectively communicate facts, practices, and policies to individuals within your immediate team and occasionally with external parties.
You adhere to established procedures, identify and resolve challenges, seek continuous improvement, embrace change and ambiguity, and demonstrate flexibility to adopt new activities and ways of working. You follow and comply with safety, ethics, and compliance requirements and align with leadership expectations and company values.

What will my tasks be? Within this position, your key tasks will be to.
• This position will attend all business units in Brazil.
• Support Marine Supervisor with safe and efficient execution of first line maintenance, collaborating to maintenance plan review, monitor ballast and crude oil systems, supervising material handling and supporting bunker and supply boat operations.
• Assist Marine Supervisor with applicable compliance and other requirements as Navy, Flag state, DNV, ISPS and other audits agencies.
Propose changes in practices and plans to improve reliability and efficiency, identifying deviations from standard operational conditions and initiating corrective actions.
• Follow up vendors onboard to support equipment maintenance and certification.
• Manage competence requirements fulfillment for the team in alignment with contractor’s company reps.
• Ensure compliant and efficient permit-to-work use, contributing and stimulating others to participate in the company safety initiatives.
• Contribute to Navy and Class inspection readiness and follow-up closure findings.

• Technician/Engineer with relevant background, Bachelor in Nautical science (merchant marine officer) - STCW II2 as per Norman 13 – Ballast Control Course or Marine Degree from Merchant Navy.
• Preferable 2 years of experience as Marine Lead/Cargo Supervisor, Ballast control operator or similar as 1st officer of oil tankers or 4 years of experience in similar positions such as Marine CRO, onboard FPSO.
• Good understanding, knowledge and experience of ISPS, SOLAS, ISM code, MARPOL, Marine operations, ISGOTT.
• Intermediate/Advanced English proficiency is desirable.
• Be able to support a Marine supervisor to lead a team of Pump Man, AB Seaman, Marine CRO and Crane Driver.
