LEAD PIPING ENGINEER

Lead Piping Engineer - We are looking for a dedicated Lead Piping Engineer to join our EMEA team at our office located in São Paulo, Brazil . In this role, you will work on various projects as assigned by a Project Manager or Lead Designer. You will play a role in the entire design process, including but not limited to: preliminary assessments, concept creation, design, and problem resolution. Additional Responsibilities: Develop design concepts; prepare documents during the design development phase. Correct and update design documents. Develop solutions to design problems. Use computer-aided design technologies to develop sketches, drawings, and construction documents. Review drawings and documents to ensure compliance with company design and production standards. Attend pre-bid meetings and assist the project team in evaluating commercial proposals. Work with equipment suppliers/vendors to obtain the necessary information needed for design completion. Interact with clients on a limited basis to secure scope and design intent. Archive and retrieve data from electronic database for support of work. Research equipment selection from catalogs under the direction of the Project Designer/Engineer. Ensure acceptable levels of quality and check for coordination of work to ensure documents reflect design intent and necessary coordination. Coordinate design work with related engineering disciplines. Attend job and construction meetings and participate in the coordination of the work. Research non-routine code issues and obtain interpretations from code officials. Support field installation and start-up activities. Provide limited contribution to performance reviews for assigned staff. Qualifications & Requirements: 10+ years of previous design experience. Proficient in the use of computers for design and understands CAD operations. General knowledge of mechanical and electrical system design. Understanding and knowledge of applicable codes. Proven time management skills to juggle more than one project at a time. Customer Service experience exhibiting strong oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Process industrial experience, especially in the Life Sciences industries. A Technical or associate degree in drafting and/or design from an accredited technical institution or college.
