Lead Engineer - Supervise draftsmen for project drawings production (when not done by him/her)Supervise and support suppliers/sub-contractorsPerform system and/or fluid calculations or analysisCollaborate with and assist system integrators when requiredCollaborate with electrical auxiliary systemEvaluate supplier technical offersSupport supply chain for project purchase and new supplier developmentEvaluate and answer non-conformities reportsProvide site support for commissioning, erection and troubleshootingOrganize and/or participate on design reviewsProvide support on tendering activitiesPerform site surveyProvide the FRO leadership with an accurate assessment of the risk associated with the various technical fleet issues. Establish and cultivate key relationships throughout the technical community to maintain insight into design, installation, operations issues ensuring prompt incorporation of resultant solutions, lessons learned and best practices into methods content. Required QualificationsBachelors Degreein Mechanical Engineering; Fluent in written and spoken English and Portuguese; Experience in mechanicalauxiliaries systems:Cooling water, oil injection or lubrication, compressed air, filtration systems, instrumentation and process and piping in hydro-electric power plants or a similar fieldGeneral understanding of fluid mechanics (including oil, water, air, nitrogen, glycol or other)General knowledge of drawing standards and rulesNice to have asset knowledge:Hydro power plantsHydro-electric turbines or generator mechanical engineeringBase in electrical, control systems or PLC programmingSystems troubleshooting or site commissioningPiping weldingDesired Characteristics:Good spoken and written communication skillsAbility to work in a global matrix team environmentAbility to learn & adapt to business needsGood planning, organizational skills and team playerPro-activeness, sense of urgency, autonomyMust be results oriented, focused, and attentive to detail and accuracyMust have ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlinesGood problem solverAvailability to travel occasionally, including by planeAdditional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided:No
