Say farewell to the ordinary, and hello to the extraordinary! Job DescriptionWhat youll do We are looking for an Income Auditor to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Finance, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions related to hotel operations. Your primary role will involve auditing daily revenue streams, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports for management review. The Income Auditor plays a crucial part in maintaining financial controls, compliance with policies, and supporting operational departments in maximizing revenue opportunities. Verify and reconcile daily transactions from all revenue-generating departments, including rooms, food and beverage, banquet, and spa. Audit cash, credit card, and other payment transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Review room charges, adjustments, and discounts for accuracy and proper authorization. Prepare daily revenue reports detailing income, expenses, and variances. Compile weekly and monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures. Reconcile guest ledger accounts and accounts receivable balances. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and accounting standards. Implement and maintain effective internal controls over financial transactions. Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Liaise with operational departments to address financial discrepancies and improve revenue reporting processes. Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making. QualificationsWhat we are looking for. . . Bachelors degree in hospitality, business administration or related field. +2 years of experience in a hotels accounting department. Knowledge of financial auditing techniques and procedures. Advanced skills in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software. Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail. Fluent in Spanish and English. You take ownership of important issues, solve problems, and make effective decisions. You learn quickly and adapt to SLSs unique culture. You are humble and open to ideas.
