About the position.
As the Country Finance Director, your mission is to drive financial strategies that enhance fiscal stability, optimize resource allocation, and support business growth.
You’ll oversee the execution of financial plans, budgeting, and compliance efforts.
Your role involves inspiring and leading a finance team while leveraging data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
Main Responsibilities Finance Management.
Organize and manage accounting and data processing functions to ensure reliable, timely administration and reporting in alignment with statutory, fiscal, and group operational requirements.
Implement and respect internal procedures to safeguard and optimize the company’s assets, including debtor management, stock control, cash management, trade creditors, control of fixed assets, and analysis of investments.
Advisory and Decision Support.
Assist and advise the General Manager and Management Team on financial and business-related matters, supporting decision-making with relevant data.
Communicate financial goals and targets effectively, ensuring accountability is assigned to the appropriate functional leader.
Budgeting and Forecasting.
Actively participate in the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process, coordinating with various stakeholders, consolidating and analyzing budgets, and preparing management reports and presentations.
Cash and Resource Management.
Manage financing requirements and optimize cash management in coordination with the Group treasury function.
Reinforce the effective use of MRP and ERP systems with internal business partners and influence the company’s pricing strategies.
Collaboration.
Work closely with other departmental managers to ensure financial strategies are aligned with business objectives.
Capital Assets Management.
Evaluate capex requirements to enhance production performance, review IRR for major capital additions, and minimize spending risk through effective supplier management strategies and competitive quotations.
Development and Teamwork.
Inspire and develop the finance team, identify team strengths and opportunities, and ensure cross-training to prevent disruption of daily activities.
Act as a role model to encourage the team and stakeholders to embrace change.
Profile Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
MBA Advanced English (Spanish is a plus) Proven expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, with a strong track record of advising senior management and leading finance team.
Previous experience in an asset management company Strong business acumen and ability to define and implement a Finance strategy based on business priorities/goals, organizing, planning and executing tasks reliably and independently.
Full proficiency in IFRS and local taxes Deep knowledge of Accounting, General Accounting, Business Controlling, reporting, budgeting, financial analysis Good understanding of law and general practices in terms of finance management Technical Proficiency.
Be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and quick to learn new software.
SAP BI, AI as an asset.
