Job Description The Role Fastmarkets is seeking an Assistant Price Reporter to join its Americas metals team, based in São Paulo, Brazil.
This individual will be responsible for assessing prices and writing news and market commentary for the Latin American metals industry.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cross-regional and cross-functional teams and be part of key projects focused on sustainability.
This role will report directly to an Americas editor and requires working on site for a minimum of two days per week, with the anchor days chosen by management.
Key Responsibilities Price Discovery and Analysis.
Learn how to report on commodity market fundamentals, including understanding price drivers, identifying key end markets and industry participants and asking pertinent questions.
Understand pricing processes, maintain compliance standards and training, and back up colleagues on their metals prices to build up a wider knowledge base.
News and Thought Leadership.
Break news and publish market commentary that demonstrates PRA-aligned insights and adds value for readers.
Market Engagement.
Manage industry contacts that submit pricing data and provide news exclusives.
Attend conferences and external engagement meetings to promote and develop prices.
Learn about the competitive PRA landscape and use of Fastmarkets’ prices in physical and financial contracts.
Representation.
Positively embrace new ways of working.

Language Proficiency.
Fluency in English is essential.
Spanish skills preferred.
