Job Description Our SDET Testers work with project teams to ensure software quality through systematic test planning, execution, and defect tracking, ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability of applications before deployment.
With deep knowledge of various types of applications, databases, and operating systems, they maintain high standards of product excellence and user satisfaction.
Qualities of a SDET Inquisitive.
they should be able to understand a change and find ways to break it.
Our SDETs aren't here just to write automated tests.
That's a side effect.
Excellent Communicators.
Everyone needs to be a good communicator, but our SDETs need to be able to communicate complex problems very clearly.
Pair Programming and Teamwork.
We believe when a story is created, the SDET is part of the conversation from the beginning and will work alongside the DEVs to create tests as the story is implemented.
We need SDETs who share this same vision.
Design -> Dev -> QA is not the model we want, even though it looks good on paper.
Involved in investigating, analyzing and writing tests for reported defects.
Implement best practices for test automation to optimize test execution efficiency.
Provide input on risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to automated testing.
Provide active guidance on best practices and troubleshooting.
Qualifications BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in manual software testing, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
4+ years of hands on experience with Java or Typescript tech stacks.
Knowledge and experience working with Playwright and Allure reports.
Preferred Qualifications.
Proven experience with Playwright or similar web testing frameworks.
Knowledge of continuous integration tools, such as Azure DevOps, source code version control system such as GitHub.
Experience Test management tools such as Azure DevOps, Atlassian suite or Harness.
Working knowledge of Azure Cloud.
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Working knowledge in Docker, API’s and web services is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify subtle issues in complex applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot software defects effectively.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing on web, mobile, and desktop applications.
Actively participate in sprint planning and contribute to ensuring timely and high-quality releases.
Collaborate with the automation team to identify areas for test automation and provide feedback on automation scripts.
Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure consistency and performance across environments.
