DOCUMENTATION ENGINEER

Your role in our team.
Check machine orders in SAP order cockpit for required documentation tasks and track deadlines.
Obtain information on required documentation content (data, 3D model screenshots, schematics, etc.) from design, development, product management, training center, technical customer support, assembly or machine safety departments.
Create manual modules and graphics for customer documentation for orders or machine software (online help).
Check validity of standards and risk assessment for machines.
Map text replacements to corresponding cost unit of machine in SAP.
Submit work results to design, development, product management, training center, technical customer support, assembly or machine safety departments, for review and approval.
Amend necessary changes resulting from this.
Import manual modules into SAP.
If required, maintain object dependencies for manual modules and neutral documentation parts list (independently or by order processing) depending on the new or changed content.
Generate operating manuals for orders from individual manual modules.
Check generated manual and release for orders.
For online help, install respective visualization, convert the created modules into HTML format, import and check.
Order translation to English or other languages according to the order or machine software (online help).
Check finished translation for completeness and associated protocols.
Create and release operating manuals and report completed manuals in SAP order cockpit.
Lead documentation projects to improve editorial system.
Develop and implement agreed rules / working methods for the design and structure of editorial manuals.
Your profile.
Experience, and or passionate in technical writing with strong command in English.
Degree in engineering or technical writing.
Experience in 3D CAD design and machinery-manufacturing industry is added advantage.
Ability to articulate technical descriptions clearly in writing.
A team player that demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skill coupled with high analytical capabilities.
High sense of responsibility, ownership and commitment.
