About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use): 12 The Role: Director, Sales Brazil The Team: The S&P Global Commercial Team LatAm is responsible for optimizing relationships and commercial outcomes with a broad set of clients in the region. We are a close-knit team and collaborate continually to brainstorm solutions that help our clients overcome their complex business challenges. The team is competitive, sales focused, energetic, and intellectually curious. Objective: Seeking a proven and experienced sales leader to build a book of business and expand existing relationships in Brazil across all industries funding domestically or globally from the capital markets. In addition, the leader will manage and develop relationships with existing issuers, bankers, project sponsors and other intermediaries. Responsibilities:Support the Head of LatAm to create an engaged community in the Brazilian office. Lead the Sales team based in Brazil to drive growth and excellent performance. Create and execute a sales strategy to broaden S&P's portfolio across Brazil and to position S&P Global Ratings' unique value proposition. Identify upsell opportunities through insight-based sales strategies for complex clients. Manage all commercial aspects of S&P´s relationships with Brazilian issuers. Leverage communication and negotiation skills to gain user acceptance and optimize revenue. Deliver insights on both existing product functionality/use cases as well as explore new product opportunities. Track customer & industry developments/trends to identify opportunities and respond accordingly. Thoughtfully position S&P sustainability solutions. Coordinate with Sustainable Finance colleagues to uncover opportunities within the Brazilian portfolio. Provide high-touch client service to the intermediary (primarily banking) community to ensure S&P is well positioned on its transactional flow. Utilize and maintain updated Salesforce data to monitor pipeline and opportunity status for revenue management, as well as contacts. Understand customer problems and identify ways to help clients address them. Develop & maintain relationships with both new and existing Project Sponsors - communicate S&P's value proposition and market positioning. Provide the pulse of the market to senior management. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver an optimized customer experience. Partner with Marketing to curate and manage the team's marketing collateral. Prepare data & key insights for monthly reporting. Basic Qualifications:Established sales experience in Brazil Financing / Capital Markets industry. Willingness in providing timely and premier service to internal/external stakeholders. Demonstrate sound ability to analyze client information quickly, respond logically, and use data to influence client purchase decisions. Extensive background in the debt capital markets. Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work well in teams. Proven record of maintaining strong relationships with key finance market participants. Strong presentation, communication and customer service skills. Exceptional skills in listening to clients, articulating ideas and complex information in a clear and structured manner. Desire to continuously personally learn and help others develop as well. Availability to travel. Preferred Qualifications:Proven track record of sales success. Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent); Experience in working with DCM teams or Financial Institutions. Knowledge of Sustainable Finance / Environmental, Social & Governance.
