You support the Integrity team on corrosion monitoring and inspection.
Your role is crucial in preventing equipment failure, ensuring safety, and maintaining operational efficiency.
ROLE RESPONSABILITIES You work with the Integrity and Corrosion Expert to plan monitoring and inspection activities.
You monitor corrosion parameters using data and alerts from the digital corrosion monitoring system.
You track data from corrosion monitoring tools, sample bacteria, pH, and oxygen, and manage chemical injections to prevent corrosion.
You support the Integrity Engineers when corrosion or low thickness is detected and help define corrective actions.
You contribute to the assessment of the corrosion-related incidents in the Loss of Primary Containment (LOPC) and help implement solutions.
You help develop new Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) plans, focusing on assessing failure probabilities, and support Risk-Based Assessments.
Support the Asset Integrity Piping and pressure vessel activities and KPI Management JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in mechanical | Metallurgy Engineering Desirable 5 years’ Experience in oil and gas/petrochemical chemical or refinery industries Corrosion knowledge learned on the job that may include design, installation, failure analysis, Risk Based Inspection.
Knowledge of International Codes and Standards related to corrosion IEN ISO , ISO , NORSOK M-001, NACE, API 581) Basic knowledge in welding, Non-Destructive Examination (NDE), cathodic protection and coating will be a plus knowledge of corrosion monitoring Advanced English Availability to Work in Rio de Janeiro - RJ or Santos- SP city #LI-DP1
