This position will focus on Computer Science courses within the Instructional Computing division, where the instructor will strengthen and further enhance a thriving Computer Science program.
Our courses include programming, data structures, digital design, computer architecture, and other Computer Science topics.
We provide quality instruction to a wide range of students in-person, hybrid and online.
These are rigorous, academic courses with most students proceeding on to a university.
ssential FunctionsSupervises and instructs a diverse population of students, including students in a classroom and/or lab setting, online or hybrid, accelerated, and other alternative schedules and formats; uses learning-centered strategies to engage students and promote student success; demonstrates innovation in teaching and learning by focusing on student learning, retention, and success; incorporates instructional technology and alternative delivery or scheduling techniques.
ssesses and evaluates knowledge of subject matter taught and monitors students' scholastic records; prepares and grades examinations and other learning activities; participates in division and college assessment and program review processes; uses assessment and evaluation results to improve instruction and student learning; tracks and analyzes course, program, and college learning outcomes.
evelops instructional materials and curriculum; develops written syllabi/course outlines and course materials.
aintains office hours to assist, tutor, mentor, and advise students to promote learning, good citizenship, and personal development; works with students outside of the classroom on instructional activities and projects; participates in STEM programs and activities; cultivates relationships with business and industry to identify new programs and work skills.

inimum QualificationsA Master’s degree or higher in the teaching fieldORA Master’s degree or higher in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching fieldThe following disciplines meet the requirements to teach in this field.
