Associate Director, Sales & Marketing - This is permanent / hybrid position role based in Sao Paulo. Key Duties and Responsibilities:- Partners with brand/team-lead to help shape the brand strategy, segment the market, develop messaging and launch into new segments, including label expansions- Directs the development and implementation of strategic and tactical plans for CF Products- Collaborates with Vertex external communications review committee to approve materials for external use with customers- Generates and consolidates key insights across HCPs and patient stakeholders through market research, ad boards, etc. - Ensures appropriate metrics are in place to measure impact of tactics in field- Develops and manages one or more related teams and sets departmental priorities to align with business objectives- Optimizes launch readiness for new products and new indications: key partner of decision-making process by identifying knowledge gaps and providing guidance/ recommendations to the Country Manager. - Ensures launch and execution excellence in Sales by designing and implementing processes and programs to ensure best in class launch planning and execution in alignment with international and global teams. - Defines, develops and runs insightful reports and dashboards for KAM plan implementation pre & post-reimbursement; develops and follows upon KAM incentive scheme proposals. - Drives a market insight driven mindset to planning including market studies/analyses e. G. local insights generation, corporate research, brand market research, ensures an integrated sales and marketing strategy and explores potential for new commercial opportunities / initiatives. - Leads the KAM team to maintain a highly motivated and effective field sales operation including leading KAM learning and development programs with close alignment and support from Director, International Learning & Development, including setting priorities and allocating resources to align with objectives- Ensures excellence in Key Account Management including improvement of account planning processes and management; support for KAMs with face to face coaching; improves KOL managementplan implementation and tracking; and drives tactical implementation of relevant marketing goals to meet aligned SMART outcomes. Knowledge and Skills:- Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical markets, trends, regulatory and legal environment- Experience in working in rare diseases. - Strong analytical mindset to lead others to solve complex problems- Demonstrated ability to develop strategy, make strategic recommendations, and monitor performance- Strong working knowledge of market forecasts and relationship of business drivers to revenue- High level of analytical skills including experience in development of dashboards, KPIs and measurements- Strong project management and organizational skills required; ability to work cross-functionally and a strong team worker- Strong interpersonal communication skills to persuade others to take actionEducation and Experience:- Bachelor''s degree in marketing, business, or scientific degree- Typically requires significant years of experience in sales/marketing and some years of supervisory/management experience, or the combination of education and experience. Travel:There is a requirement to travel up to 40% of the time.
