APPLICATION SOFTWARE PRINCIPAL ENGINEERING

Application Software Principal Engineering Description - The Future Technologies and Experiences Group, which is building next generation experiences for PC users, is seeking an individual to join our team as a Principal Applications Engineer.
The candidate will research and develop generative AI models and work with other team members and business unit partners to develop proof-of-concept prototypes and help move technologies to product.
HP Principal Applications Engineer is expected to undertake programs which will advance the state of the art and have a significant business impact for HP.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify key issues and challenges with existing implementations and implement solutions for real-world application.
Also, the candidate should be able to collaborate with other engineers, developers, strategists, and product managers on new applications.
Strong communication skills are required, and the ability to drive applied research into production is highly valued.
This team’s focus is on building kits for AI engines for a non-human smart component to act as an assistant.
Advanced Machine Learning and Deep Learning Expertise.
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with a wide range of advanced ML/DL algorithms, architectures, and techniques.
Proven track record of designing and deploying state-of-the-art ML/DL models for complex, real-world problems.
Expertise in developing novel ML/DL methods and contributing to the advancement of the field.
Comprehensive Software Engineering Mastery.
Deep understanding of software design principles, architecture patterns, and development best practices.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages and ability to mentor junior engineers.
Experience in leading the design and implementation of large-scale, distributed software systems.
Data Engineering and Infrastructure Expertise.
Extensive knowledge of big data technologies, data pipelines, and scalable data processing architectures.
Ability to design and optimize data ingestion, storage, and processing systems to support AI/ML workloads.
Experience in building and managing AI/ML platform infrastructure, including deployment and monitoring.
Domain Expertise and Business Acumen.
Thorough understanding of the specific industry or business domain where the AI/ML solutions will be applied.
Ability to translate complex business problems into technical requirements and strategic AI/ML roadmaps.
Experience in collaborating with business stakeholders to align AI/ML initiatives with organizational goals.
Thought Leadership and Innovation.
Recognized as a subject matter expert in the field of AI/ML and software engineering.
Ability to identify emerging trends, technologies, and best practices, and drive their adoption within the organization.
Track record of contributing to open-source projects, publishing research papers, or speaking at industry conferences.
Mentorship and Team Development.
Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring cross-functional teams of AI/ML and software engineers.
Ability to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Commitment to developing and nurturing the next generation of AI Transformation Engineers.
Strategic Vision and Execution.
Capacity to develop and communicate a long-term strategic vision for the organization's AI/ML transformation.
Ability to align AI/ML initiatives with the organization's overall business objectives and technology roadmap.
Experience in driving the successful execution and implementation of complex, enterprise-level AI/ML projects.
