It is owned by global private equity firm Astorg, a specialist investor in healthcare, software, technology, business services and technology-based industrial companies. **JOB PURPOSE****PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**- Identifies necessary data inputs and oversees procurement, collection, cleaning, and validation for forecasting biomass-based diesel supply and demand in critical markets worldwide, with specific focus on the United States, Argentina, and Brazil. - Updates house forecasts for biomass-based diesel, including supply, demand, capacity, cost, and other critical metrics. - Supplements forecast model with content creation on the biomass-based diesel market, technology development, regulatory policy development, supply, demand, capacity, trade, and other trends that impact the industry. - Controls input to our products from internal and external contributors to guarantee timely and coherent updates for our customers. - Supports client and internal inquiries about the markets and is accountable for fulfilling requests for insight and data for presentations and interviews. - Works with the Principal Analyst on projects by interacting with clients, helping specify and design studies that meet client needs, undertaking primary and secondary research, and supporting delivery. **KEY INTERFACES**- A strong relationship with Principal Analyst to deliver forecasts, improve data delivery and management efficiency and quality and enhance forecasting techniques. - Develop relationships with price reporters, sales, marketing, events, and senior management to ensure constructive feedback about the development of our services and how they fit with the Fastmarkets strategy. - External relationships with market participants**KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS**- Knowledge of biomass-based diesel and/or feedstock markets- Excellent writing and verbal English- Collaborative team player- Experience in commodity analysis, ideally in Americas agriculture, biomass-based diesel and/or energy markets- Excellent data management skills, including fundamental knowledge of relational databases, APIs, and data automation- Comprehensive understanding of statistical foundations, particularly regarding time-series data and forecasting- Robust analytical/mathematical/econometric modeling skills- Appreciation of advanced statistical modeling and forecasting, some exposure to machine learning a plus- Able to critically assess statistical analyses and forecast models, and suggest improvements. **BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES**- Is self-disciplined and takes pride in self-management to deliver agreed objectives- Personable with a preference for developing strong, collaborative working relationships- Demonstrates high personal energy- A confident and inquisitive communicator who actively listens and questions - shows a growth mindset and is naturally curious- Is collaborative and able to adapt approach and style to the situation- Comfortable with ambiguity - where a pathway may not be apparent, thrives in working through the challenge**About you**We recruit talented, dynamic people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, all united by a belief in our mission to provide the worlds leading and most trusted price reporting, events, and intelligence service for the markets we serve.
