Aml Reporting Specialist - This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wises mission and grow as a specialist in financial crime. Your mission is to protect our customers and Wise by reporting suspicious activity. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about financial crime risk and keen on working in a fast-paced and rapidly growing fintech environment. Your mission: Analyze customers account and payment activity Summarize investigation findings Independently prepare and submit suspicious activity reports to financial intelligence units Prepare escalations to global teams for suspicious activity reporting in other jurisdictions Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships at all levels of the organization Help to onboard new joiners to the team by providing guidance and technical support Qualifications As our ideal candidate, you will have previous experience working in compliance operations, AML, fraud, internal controls, audit, law enforcement, or investigating suspicious activity. In addition, you have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Portuguese (additional languages are a plus). More specifically, were looking for someone who can demonstrate they have these attributes: Theory: You are well-versed in financial crime topics. Ideally, you have previous work experience to demonstrate it. Practice: You have demonstrable experience analyzing information (preferably related to financial crime). You have at least a Bachelors degree and are comfortable articulating and justifying your decisions and making independent judgment calls. Passion: You are curious and proactive by nature, love solving puzzles, and enjoy expressing your thoughts concisely and logically. Get the job done: You have a sense of urgency and the ability to work well under pressure, prioritizing, taking ownership, and working to tight deadlines. Detail: You have meticulous attention to detail, enjoy interpreting data, and weighing different aspects (and risks) to make decisions. Development: Youve considered the challenges and development opportunities of working at a fast-growing scale and are looking to contribute to Wises mission. Additional Information This is a hybrid position located in Sao Paulo (Vila Madalena), and not fully remote. You must be able to commute to the office or be open to relocation. Salary for this position is 8,000 BRL gross monthly, plus benefits, and RSUs. Benefits RSUs in a rapidly growing company after a year with us. Flexible working model During the first six months, youll be in office most days of the week to become fully immersed in Wises culture and ways of working. After the initial period, youll be in office at least 3 days per week. Wisers can work remotely for 90 days a year.
