ACCOUNTING ANALYST

We are looking for an Accounting Analyst who is passionate about being involved in a growing business unit! About the Role This is a role where you will be a key player in the end-to-end preparation of the financial close of non-technical entities, which is performed based on the locally generally accepted accounting principles (BRGAAP).
Additionally, you will be required to search for ways of improving the accounting related processes that are current in place.
Key responsibilities include.
Support on the preparation of financial close schedule.
Coordinate with all parties involved in the financial close to make sure it is finalized in a reasonable timeframe.
Ensure that all accounting entries are BRGAAP compliant.
Perform journal entries on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement financial accounts.
Provide the management with ad-hoc reports.
About the Team Finance Brazil is responsible for statutory and regulatory reports for all Swiss Re entities in Brazil, covering local and admitted reinsurers, an insurance company, one service company and one holding company.
With more than 30 employees located in São Paulo, the team also provides services for the business team by providing strategics inputs for the development of the company in the country.
About You You are a great communicator with superior organization, and you compliment your excellent analytical skills with a holistic financial approach.
Must have.
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
At least three years of work experience in financial close activities.
Strong analytical skills.
Nice to Have.
Experience in the insurance industry.
CPA certification.
Intermediate ability to communicate clearly, read and write in English.
